Dear colleagues,
on behalf of the International Biodeterioration and Biodegradation Society we are pleased to invite you to the 15th International Symposium on Biodeterioration and Biodegradation (IBBS-15) to be held in Vienna (Austria) at the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences from 19th to 24th September 2011. The IBBS-15 Symposium is dedicated to different topics dealing with biodeterioration and biodegradation of organic and inorganic materials including cultural heritage objects, corrosion of metals and rocks, applied aspects of biotechnology such as conversion of lignocellulose, bioremediation of polluted soils and water and state of the art techniques to study function and diversity of microorganisms involved in these processes.
The symposium takes place every three years, assembling scientists from different part of the World. Young scientists (< 36 years old) are particularly encouraged to attend. The IBBS-15 scientific presentations, the poster discussion and workshops will be hosted by the Department of Biotechnology.
